With shared roots in Guildford and a decade-long personal connection, Challengers and Guildford Galaxy FC have teamed up in a partnership that goes far beyond the football pitch.
We’re delighted to be one of Guildford Galaxy FC’s chosen charity sponsors, with the Challengers logo proudly taking centre stage on the team’s fantastic new kits. And with their bold, bright orange matching our signature Challengers brand color, they’re sure to stand out on the pitch!
Guildford Galaxy FC describe themselves as “a group of lads, brought together by a shared love of football.” Currently playing in Division 6 of the Leatherhead & District Football League, the team shares more than just a love of the beautiful game – they also have a passion for supporting a cause close to their hearts.

Guildford Galaxy player James is a Challengers parent. His son Toby has been attending Challengers services since he was just two years old. James’ wife Natasha has been a devoted supporter, Trustee and parent Ambassador, and their extended family has supported the charity through a multitude of fundraising activities.
For their family, the collaboration with Challengers is much more than just a logo on a football shirt. It’s symbolic of the charity that has been part of their lives for more than a decade, and the only place Toby has been able to play freely, make friends, develop new skills, and truly be himself.
Every time the team put on their football kits, they’re not only representing their club, but the life-changing difference that Challengers has made to families of disabled children, like James’, in the local community.

Guildford is where Challengers first started back in 1979, and it’s still home to our centre and offices today. Having a local football team to champion our work is a fantastic way to celebrate our shared roots and spread awareness of the vital services we provide.
Josh, a representative from Guildford Galaxy FC, shared:

“We’re incredibly proud to represent Challengers on our kits. They’re such a worthwhile charity, doing amazing work for disabled children, young people and their families, and seeing first-hand how much of a difference Challengers makes to James and his family makes wearing their logo even more special. We’re a group of guys who love playing football, so if we can use that passion to raise awareness of a fantastic local charity, that’s even better.”
Gen Dearman, Challengers CEO, shared:
“It’s wonderful to be affiliated with Guildford Galaxy FC, especially given our shared Guildford roots and the personal connection through James and Toby. Partnerships like this help us share our work with new audiences, raise awareness of the importance of inclusive play and bring our local community together. We’re so grateful to the team for choosing to support Challengers and for wearing our logo with such pride.”
A huge thank you to everyone at Guildford Galaxy FC for proudly flying the flag for Challengers. Good luck for the season – #TeamOrange is cheering you on!
