How to pay

For Play and Youth schemes, payment is due at the time of booking sessions. After you confirm your allocated sessions on our Booking website, you must then ‘Check out’ and pay for your sessions online. If you cannot pay at the point of confirming your booking, you can click ‘Pay on account’ and contact our Finance Team to select another payment option.

For our Pre-Schools, payment is required in advance before the start of term – this can be done via debit/credit card, bank transfer or cheque. Our Finance Team will contact you via email and provide you with the details to make this payment.

Other ways to pay for your Challengers sessions:

  • You can use the Pay an invoice function on our website.
  • You can pay via bank transfer using the details below, quoting your account number or child’s full name as the reference.
Account Name: Disability Challengers, Sort Code: 20 35 35,  Account Number: 20997684

  • If you have an existing credit balance on your account you can use this to pay for your sessions.
  • If eligible, you can pay using childcare vouchers (for example Accor and Busy Bees).
  • You can also pay using Direct Payments – this must be arranged through a Social Worker.
  • We also accept referrals from Social Services departments.

If you would like to pay using any of these options, please contact our Finance Team via email or by calling 01483 230589.

Finding it difficult to pay?

If you’re unable to pay in full at the time of booking, we would ask you to contact our Finance Team so that an affordable payment plan can be agreed and your bookings confirmed.

Concessions

Families in receipt of certain benefits may be eligible for our concession scheme which will reduce sessions fees by 50%.  Please read our Concession Policy for more information and to see if you meet the eligibility criteria.  Unfortunately we are not able to award concession to bookings at our Pre-Schools or 555 service.

Please complete the Concession Application Form and send it to our Finance Team via email (finance@disability-challengers.org).

Bursary

Challengers have a bursary fund to support families that may be experiencing financial difficulty and unable to pay for their sessions.  If you are finding it difficult to pay for your sessions, please complete the form below detailing what help you require.  We will contact your provided referee and submit your application to the Bursary Panel who meet regularly throughout the year.  We will then notify you of the outcome of your application.

If you have any questions about the bursary, please contact our Community Liaison Manager at The Hub on 01483 961962 or email thehub@disability-challengers.org

A copy of our Bursary Policy can be found here.

Cancellations

We know that plans change and sometimes that means you need to cancel your booking at Challengers – that’s why we’ve made it really easy for you to cancel sessions online.

Places at Challengers are in high demand, so if you can no longer attend we would be grateful if you could let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the space to another child.

How to cancel sessions at Play and Youth schemes

To cancel one or more of your booked sessions, head to the Booking Website and go to ‘My Bookings’. There you will see that there is an option to cancel each session on the right hand side of the page. Alternatively if you want to cancel over the phone, you can call our Bookings Team on 01483 579 390.

Please note: You must cancel giving at least 5 days’ notice prior to the session date to receive a refund. Unfortunately cancellations made after this date or no shows will still be charged due to our staffing requirements.

If your child is unable to attend a session on the day, please contact the Leader directly using the respective phone numbers listed for our Play and Youth scheme pages.

How to cancel your place at Pre-school

Pre-school sessions are booked for the full term, therefore it is not possible to receive a refund for any cancelled or missed sessions.

If your child no longer needs a space at Pre-school, we require the equivalent of a half term’s notice to cancel their space. Please get in touch with the Pre-school Manager directly using the contact details on our Pre-school page to discuss this.

For more information on cancellations, payments and refunds, please refer to the Challengers Payments and Refunds Policy.
