‘Popping’ up for one captivating weekend only, from Friday December 15th, to Sunday December 17th, the Charterhouse Club in Godalming transformed into a whimsical interactive wonderland as The Big Balloon Build opened its doors to the public. Challengers was thrilled to be one of the chosen charities to benefit from this unique and exciting event, dedicated to creating magical and immersive balloon experiences that bring joy to all.
The Big Balloon Build is an extraordinary gathering of 75+ of the world’s top balloon artists who have created immersive holiday-themed exhibits out of an astonishing 125,000+ biodegradable balloons. The Sports Hall was transformed into iconic London sights, enchanting elf villages, and life-size reindeer guiding Santa and his sleigh across the winter sky.
About the Big Balloon Build
Challengers, along with other charities in the Surrey/Guildford area, had the privilege of benefiting from the event’s proceeds. The Big Balloon Build not only created a magical experience for attendees but also made a positive impact on the local community by supporting charitable causes.
Attendees could share their holiday wishes with Santa, enjoy the melodious tunes of Christmas Carolers, and immerse themselves in the joyous atmosphere created by the balloon artistry.
The Surrey area was fortunate to host this event thanks to the dedicated efforts of local balloon professional Amy Brown, the owner of Peanut Balloons. A special thank you goes out to Amy for her outstanding contribution.
Beyond the visual spectacle, The Big Balloon Build provided an amazing opportunity for attendees to make a difference through the simple joy of balloons. The event demonstrated that the magic of the holiday season can be shared and celebrated in unique and creative ways, leaving a lasting impact on both the local community and charitable causes.
