We are extremely proud and grateful to have such strong partnerships with a variety of organisations who share our vision of living in a world where all children and young people can play together, freely.
We were delighted to have been chosen as Barratt Homes Southern Counties Division Charity of the Year for 2017. Throughout the year staff have worked tirelessly to raise as much money as possible for Challengers doing everything from a sponsored head shave, taking part in the Surrey Three Peaks and putting on a golf day and dinner which raised a staggering £50,000.
We are hugely grateful to Children in Need for generously supporting our Guildford Playscheme through funding the post of our Play Leader. It is thanks to the funding from Children in Need that our Play Leader can support disabled children to make friends, challenge their impairments and have fun!

We are so grateful for our relationship with the Farnham Lions, they have been great friends for over 10 years supporting our Farnham Play Centre and Youth Centre. We would not be able support local disabled children, young people and their families without the Farnham Lions continued support.
The Hays Travel Foundation is dedicated to helping young people achieve and be the best that they can be in their health, sport, art and education. We are hugely grateful to everyone at Hays Travel for supporting Challengers with grants towards our Activity Overnighters project in 2015 and our Eastleigh Youthscheme in 2017. Their generous funding has supported disabled young people to take part in a range of activities that they might otherwise be excluded from. More information about Hays Travel Foundation can be found on their website by following the link or contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kelly’s Storage are long standing supporters of Challengers and we are incredibly grateful for all that they do for us. Each year, they hold two flagship sporting events, which attract hundreds of participants who help raise vital funds and awareness for our work. On top of this, Kelly’s staff are actively involved throughout the year and go the extra mile to support our work. Kelly’s are also members of our Business Club which meets quarterly for networking opportunities with local businesses.
Whether it is collecting at the Surrey Half Marathon, holding a fantastic quiz or volunteering with car parking at our Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge in October, the members of the Rotary Club of Guildford District are incredible in their support of Challengers. We are so thankful for their continued support of our Guildford Schemes.
We are excited to start working with Shanly Homes Southern Division who have lots of fundraising planned for Challengers starting with a Halloween themed orange day. We are hugely grateful for their support and are looking forward to developing our partnership with such a well-respected organisation.
Each year Simplyhealth donate 10% of their profits to charity and Challengers are lucky enough to have been one of the beneficiaries of this scheme. Their incredibly generous donation has been put towards our Andover scheme, which faced closure due to recent changes to funding in Hampshire. We are so grateful for Simplyhealth’s enormous generosity to Challengers in the past few years.
Challengers has been fortunate to receive support from St Teresa’s School in Effingham since 2013. Thousands of pounds has been raised by staff, students and parents in a multitude of ways including cake sales and mufti days to even a coffee and cake ‘drive thru’ at pick up time. We also have the pleasure of visiting the school annually to host disability awareness workshops and most recently, Year 10 Student Fabienne Bellamy was honoured with a Diana Inspire Award for her dedication to fundraising for Challengers at St Teresa’s.
We are very grateful to the Walton on Thames Charity for providing support towards the running of our Esher Playscheme for the next three years. The charity aims to make a positive impact on the lives of people in Elmbridge, and with their generous funding we will be able to ensure that local disabled children can play and have fun with their friends.
