The Hub
The Hub is a community initiative run by Challengers, specifically designed to support the families of disabled children and help them feel less isolated.
We offer free events
- Family Fun Days for children aged 0-18 at our Farnham and Guildford Centres
- Coffee mornings, drop-ins and socials
- SEND-specific workshops (in person and online)
- One-to-one support from our trained staff
- Co-working space for parents
How we can help
- Providing expert support and guidance on SEND-specific issues
- A listening ear providing guidance and signposting
- Help with completing forms (EHCP, Blue Badge etc)
- Support when applying for benefits and grants
- Providing space for hire
The aim of The Hub is to encourage peer-to-peer and community support, provide early intervention, and improve access to information and advice.
The Hub events and services are always free, and open to everyone. Your child does not need to attend Challengers in order for you to access our offering.
What’s on at The Hub?
Please keep an eye on our calendar of events and feel free to pop into The Hub during any of our drop-in sessions, sign up to our online sessions here or you can contact us by phone or email.
“We’ve attended a couple of Family Fun Days now and our family gets so much out of it! The facilities are brilliant and it’s lovely to see my kids playing together with others.”
“Last Friday’s session at The Hub was so helpful – thank you and thanks for your kindness. So much to follow up on from that day.
“The friendly team at The Hub gave me the information and advice I needed, and I now have the knowledge and confidence on the next steps for my child.”
Our families will lead on how The Hub supports them with parents, carers and young people identifying their needs and aspirations for the service.
