Play
A place for everyone
Challengers Play schemes are places where disabled and non-disabled children aged 4 to 12 can come together to play, have fun and make new friends in a safe space.
Our Play schemes run at weekends during term-time, and weekdays
during half-terms, Easter, and the Summer Holidays.
Keeping children safe
Our staff are highly trained to cater to every child’s needs and we work with parents to determine whether their child requires 2:1, 1:1 or non 1:1 support from staff, so when they come to Challengers you can feel reassured that they are safe, supported and happy.
Our non-exclusion policy means that we’ll always find a way to make sure that every child can be included and enjoy themselves at Challengers, even if that means us investing in new staff training or equipment.
Facilities &
activities
Each Play scheme has a variety of areas set up for different types of play, which children can self-select. These include areas for art and creative activities, larger open spaces for active play, outside space for accessible bikes and trikes, a sand and water play area, and a quiet sensory space.
Our Playworkers put on different activities every day to keep children entertained. From arts and crafts, cooking and karaoke sessions, to visits from the local farm to make furry friends – there’s something for everyone!
