We’re excited to be taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge this year, which means that any donation you give to Challengers between 28 November and 5 December via our campaign page will be DOUBLED!
One donation, twice the impact. Simply donate to Challengers via the Big Give between midday on Tuesday 28th November and midday on Tuesday 5th December.
Help us raise £34,000 in the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023.
This could be enough to fund the entire cost of bringing activities to our schemes, such as mobile petting zoos, drumming workshops, and provide all the supplies such as arts and crafts resources for one whole year!
Taking part in the Big Give is your opportunity to double your donation to Challengers at no extra cost to yourself, and provide twice the fun for disabled children at Challengers! This would make a huge difference to disabled children and young people, where they often have no other place to play other than home and school.
Research clearly shows how important play and socialising is to every child’s development, yet 83% of families with disabled children are left feeling sad, left out and frustrated (Family Fund and McCain).
Anna is 12 and has cerebral palsy. She’s been coming to Challengers Play schemes for 7 years, and her mum Peta shares how Challengers has given her daughter an entire social network, which she wouldn’t otherwise have.

Loneliness is a major issue for disabled children and young people, with Sense (the national disability charity) reporting that 7 in 10 young disabled people experience chronic loneliness.

What does double donations mean for Challengers?
- £15 becomes £30, and could support a child who uses signing by providing training for two playworkers to communicate with them
- £25 becomes £50, and could help to provide a playworker to support a child make new friends
- £50 becomes £100, and could pay for three sets of percussion instruments for use on play schemes, enabling children to express themselves and communicate through music
