DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

As Challenge Events Officer, you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting participants in a variety of fundraising events – from marathons to skydives – to raise vital funds for disabled children and young people. You’ll manage multiple events, deliver excellent supporter care, and build lasting relationships to encourage long-term engagement with Challengers. 

Using your skills in marketing, social media, and event planning, you’ll drive participation and help meet ambitious income targets. Working closely with the Community & Events Manager, you will support both third-party and bespoke events, contribute to strategy development, and ensure every experience aligns with Challengers’ values. Evening and weekend work may be required as part of this dynamic, rewarding role 

You’ll Be Great If… 

  • You have experience in fundraising, particularly within community and events, and know what it takes to run successful campaigns.
  • You’re highly organised with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • You can build strong relationships with a wide range of people, from volunteers to donors.
  • You understand the challenges faced by disabled children, young people, and their families. 
  • You’re tech-savvy, confident using Microsoft Office, design tools like Canva, and open to learning new systems quickly.
