(communities working together through the power of music)
Written by Lucy Hill
On Friday 15th March, Challengers and Wholenotes Community Choir St Andrews Church in Farnham and put on an inspiring and enjoyable concert.
The amazing Wholenotes Community Choir and a few of our friends at local SEND schools, Halow, and Frimhurst Singers brightened our evenings with gorgeous renditions of “Oh Happy Day”, “5 Green Bottles”, and my personal favourite “Where did you get that hat?” with fitting hat props!
We enjoyed some teas and coffees and squash, as well as some delicious baked treats from Frimhurst.
All proceeds from this lovely event went to Challengers and Wholenotes. These donations make it possible for Challengers to provide play for disabled children and young people and for Wholenotes to provide a choir for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Social Anxiety. We raised an amazing £807 for Challengers from this event.
A special thanks to: The Band, Alison Wrigley BEM, Caroline Pearce, Frimhurst Singers, Halow Music Group, Hannah Morley, Stacy Avery, Wholenotes Camberley, and Wholenotes Guildford for helping us to make this happen!
