We’re thrilled to introduce two brand-new members of Team Orange – Colin and Helen, the Challengers Gnomes!
These delightful new additions are ready to spread smiles and show their team spirit wherever they go. Keep reading to discover what makes them so special – and find out how you can welcome one (or both!) into your own home.
Colin & Helen – our Gnomes!
We have two wonderful gnomes on offer. Colin is our gnome, with a beard, and Helen is our gnome with plaited hair – the choice is yours! You can of course name yours any name you like!
Each gnome measures 14cm in height and is ‘dressed’ in Challengers orange from head to toe!
As you may have already guessed, our gnomes have been named after our amazing founders, Colin Hassell and Helen Foley.
British Gnome Stores
Julie from British Gnome Stores is the talented creator behind these charming characters. Every gnome is lovingly handmade by Julie Martin in Shamley Green, Surrey, crafted entirely from start to finish with exceptional care and attention to detail.
Each one is individual, full of personality, and delightfully unique. Carefully hand-cut from predominantly wool felt and beautifully hand-sewn using a traditional blanket stitch, no two gnomes are ever the same.
Naturally weighted with pearl barley for added stability, every gnome is finished with a special wooden “handmade with love” button — the perfect final touch to these truly heartwarming creations.

Practical Bits
Each gnome is priced at £30 and comes complete with a Gnome Adoption Certificate, care instructions, and protective packaging.
As these are bespoke, handcrafted pieces that take time to create, they are released in small batches. If we’re currently sold out, please keep an eye on this page and our social media channels for announcements about the next launch.
Free collection is available from our Guildford or Farnham locations. We’ll email you after your purchase to confirm your preferred collection site — please note that Farnham collections may take slightly longer.
If you’d prefer delivery, postage and packaging is available for an additional £5, which can be selected at checkout. Deliveries are usually made on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Please note that stock levels may vary, as we will also be offering gnomes for sale at selected events.

You’ve heard of Elf on the Shelf – now it’s time for Gnome on the Roam!
