Welcome

Challengers is a charity which transforms the lives of disabled children,
young people and their families through the power of play.

Social isolation is an epidemic among the UK’s disabled children and their families. While their non-disabled peers have a choice of clubs, hobbies and playdates, many disabled children only have home and school. This lack of social interaction and opportunities means they are missing out on important life experiences, and is having a detrimental to their mental health, and the wellbeing of their families.

At Challengers, we reduce social isolation for by providing inclusive, fun, and safe spaces across the South East where disabled children aged 2 – 18 can come together to make friends, enjoy new experiences, and learn valuable life skills. Our unique non-exclusion policy means we’ll never exclude a child based on the complexity of their needs, even if they are multiple and complex, or their financial situation, which means that everyone can have be included.

Thank you from

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported us by donating to this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.

We’re delighted to share that we raised over £90,000 to support disabled young people and young people at Challengers. This could provide 300 days of invaluable respite for families, and peace of mind knowing their child is safe, supported, and having fun.

Support a Challengers family today by giving the gift of play!
