  • Office based roles

    TRUST FUNDRAISING OFFICER | GUILDFORD HQ | £18,500 | 35 hours p/w

    Challengers has grown substantially in recent years to become a regional charity and now needs a dynamic and passionate Trust Fundraiser to continue securing funding from Trusts, Foundations and grant giving bodies.

    This is a role that allows creativity and empathy for a cause to flourish. You will maintain and safeguard existing relationships with Trusts and Foundations as well as forging new and productive connections through effective and creative written and verbal communications! You will also create and submit bids to secure income from Trusts, Foundations and grant funding bodies to support Challengers projects.

    PROJECT MANAGER | GUILDFORD HQ | £23,345 | 35 hours p/w

    Challengers are on the search for a new Project Manager! With over 22 play and youth schemes across Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and Berkshire we require a dedicated number of Project Managers to oversee the running of these schemes. The position will be at the Challengers HQ in Guildford and you will look after 3 projects and their staff in Surrey!

    The Project Manager will need to be a driver and enjoy a mix of management and being ‘hands on’. In return you can expect to receive exceptional support, an incredible sense of job satisfaction, a laptop and a phone!

    RECRUITMENT & ENGAGEMENT ASSISTANT | GUILDFORD HQ | £15,540 | 35 hours p/w

    This is a highly interesting and stimulating dual role. Perfect for anyone that shares the missions and values of Challengers and considers themselves an experienced and confident Play/Youth Worker/Leader. The recruitment side of the role means you will be responsible for all recruitment of Play and Youth workers as well as managing applications for Leaders, Deputies and Office vacancies. You will work to sell Challengers to potential candidates through school presentations, job fairs and other networking opportunities, whilst also administering the process, managing and writing enticing job adverts and generally expressing why there is no better place to work than Challengers!

    Engagement requires a different set of skills, skills of which you will have acquired as a worker! This role will build from our productive and experimental first year of the Challengers Engagement Project. The Challengers Engagement Project, funded (3 years) by the Department of Health, aims to gain continuous feedback from C&YP to aid the future development and improvement of Challengers operations.

    BUSINESS ADMIN APPRENTICE (ADVANCED LEVEL APPRENTICESHIP) | GUILDFORD HQ | £630 per month | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm – 12 months

    Challengers is on the lookout for a confident and engaging new member of the Operations Office Team! Join us now and become the new Business Administration Apprentice. As part of this exciting career development opportunity you will play an essential role; liaising with families on booking lines, ensuring new families are up to date with the exciting services we offer and keeping essential child and family records up to date. This invaluable role will allow Challengers’ operations to run smoothly and effectively from child attendance through to timesheets and payroll.

  • Scheme based Play and Youth Worker roles

    PLAY & YOUTH WORKERS | ACROSS ALL SCHEMES | Flexible working hours

    We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic play workers to join our exciting and busy play and youth schemes. Our schemes provide fun play, leisure and sport activities for disabled children and young people with a wide range of impairments. Your role as a play worker will be to assist in the delivery of these schemes! If you enjoy working in a busy and sociable environment then this could be the perfect job for you.

    Under 18 years old: £4.89 per hour
    18 – 20 years old: £6.71 per hour
    21 years old or over: £7.50 per hour

    We are currently recruiting for Play and Youth Workers across our all schemes to work with us.
