  • Office based roles

    COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING MANAGER | GUILDFORD HQ | £25,000 per annum | 35 Hours a Week

    Our ambitious fundraising team is always looking to grow! We are dedicated to maximising the voluntary funding the charity receives in support of the play and leisure opportunities that we provide. Your role will situate you in a managerial position overseeing our passionate and zealous Community Fundraising team, working with a variety of supporters including community groups, schools, societies, supporter groups and individuals, to cultivate support for Challengers and manage these supporter relationships. You will also contribute to community fundraising appeals and campaigns; help to organise and deliver community fundraising events as well as help to promote the charity’s work and reputation with the public.

    BUSINESS ADMIN APPRENTICE (ADVANCED LEVEL APPRENTICESHIP) | GUILDFORD HQ | £630 per month | Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm – 12 months

    Challengers is on the lookout for a confident and engaging new member of the Operations Office Team! Join us now and become the new Business Administration Apprentice. As part of this exciting career development opportunity you will play an essential role; liaising with families on booking lines, ensuring new families are up to date with the exciting services we offer and keeping essential child and family records up to date. This invaluable role will allow Challengers’ operations to run smoothly and effectively from child attendance through to timesheets and payroll.

  • Scheme based Play and Youth Worker roles

    PRE-SCHOOL WORKER | GUILDFORD PRE-SCHOOL | Salary dependant on age – see below for further details | 28 Hours/week (Monday – Thursday)

    Challengers Pre-School in Guildford is growing and we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Pre-School Worker to join the team! We are an inclusive pre-school, taking children from 2-5. We run at 50/50 split between our mainstream and SEN children, this makes us a very unique setting. You will be working in an extremely well facilitated play environment. The successful applicant will get experience in a wide variety of roles including keeping learning journeys up to date, ISP use and small group work.

    The salary bands are:

    U18 – £4.86 per hour (28hr 52 weeks per year salary £7,095)
    20-21 yrs – £6.71 per hour (28hr 52 weeks per year salary £9,796)
    21 yrs + – £7.50 per hour (28hr 52 weeks per year salary £10,949)

    PLAY & YOUTH WORKERS | ACROSS ALL SCHEMES | Flexible working hours

    We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic play workers to join our exciting and busy play and youth schemes. Our schemes provide fun play, leisure and sport activities for disabled children and young people with a wide range of impairments. Your role as a play worker will be to assist in the delivery of these schemes! If you enjoy working in a busy and sociable environment then this could be the perfect job for you.

    Under 18 years old: £4.89 per hour
    18 – 20 years old: £6.71 per hour
    21 years old or over: £7.20 per hour
