Stoke Park Railway Gala Weekend | Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July | GMES, Stoke Park

Our neighbours at GMES are putting on a fantastic weekend filled with model trains and boats, hoping to draw quite a crowd. As their chosen charity we said we could lend a hand with car parking so we’re looking for some volunteers who look especially fetching in fluorescent.

It’s set to be a lovely event so if you can spare a few hours in the late morning/early afternoon (exact timings TBC) please get in touch with Louise on louisemoffat@disability-challengers.org or 01483 230 060.

Cheese and Chilli Festival | Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July | Shalford Park, Guildford

Free entry (tickets usually £7) to this fantastic festival of food if you come along as volunteer and help us do some more car parking, you know you’ll look fantastic in orange, fluorescent or not! As the Guildford Cheese and Chilli Festival’s chosen charity this event is great for raising awareness along with getting donations for your fantastic parking skills over the weekend.

We’ll have shifts in the morning and afternoon so if you’re free to help and become part of team orange then please get in touch with Louise on louisemoffat@disability-challengers.org or 01483 230 060.

The Garden Show | Friday 27th – Sunday 29th July | Loseley Park, Guildford

Green fingered or not the garden show is a lovely day out, stalls range from the obvious plants and flowers to craft and lots of delicious food options. You get free entry (tickets usually £7) if you come and lend a hand for a few hours.

We’re looking for volunteers to help run some exciting games and activities in the Kids’ Corner with all the proceeds going straight to Challengers. To come along and have some fun on any of the days please contact Louise on louisemoffat@disability-challengers.org or 01483 230 060.

Prudential RideLondon Cheer Point | Sunday 29th July | Leatherhead

Come and join us as we cheer on our #TeamOrange cyclists at mile 75 of Prudential RideLondon. It’s always a great day out and a lovely way to show our support for our fantastic riders that have taken on this challenge to raise money for Challengers. More voices = more noise so if you’d like to come along and add to the din please Louise on louisemoffat@disability-challengers.org or 01483 230 060.

Loxwood Joust | Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August | Loxwood

You’ll receive free entry (tickets usually £12) to the medieval wonderland that is the Loxwood Joust should you come along as a Challengers volunteer. We’re going to be looking after the Pelt the Peasant children’s activity stall, a wet sponge throw, but don’t worry the parents will get the worst of the soakings.

If you’re up for some medieval madness then please get in touch with Louise on louisemoffat@disability-challengers.org or 01483 230 060.
