Play and Youth Scheme volunteering

  • Playscheme, Youthscheme or Swim Club Volunteer

    PLAY & YOUTH VOLUNTEERS | ACROSS ALL SCHEMES | Flexible working hours| Must be 15 or over to volunteer

    SWIM CLUB | GUILDFORD | Saturdays during term time | Must be 15 or over to volunteer

    Swim Club runs every Saturday evening during term time at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford. Find out more

  • Fun Swim Volunteer

    We have a great opportunity for a volunteer fundraising collector at the Guildford Spectrum. Could you spare and hour once a month on a Saturday to help collect donations from parents at our Fun Swim sessions between from 5.45pm to 6.45pm?

  • Play or Youth Scheme Driver

    Help us with driving a minibus on scheme trips out and After School Club bus runs from schools to scheme. Find out more. To apply, please download our Application Pack and return to volunteer@disability-challengers.org.

  • Volunteer Activity Co-Ordinator

    Come to Challengers and help us run an activity for us 2/3 times a year – this could be anything from football to art to drumming workshops!

HQ volunteering

  • Board Secretary Volunteer

    BOARD SECRETARY ROLE | Guildford HQ | (One or two evenings a month and 4 hours a week of admin which can be done flexibly)

    Would you like an interesting role supporting a board of trustees who govern our Charity? Working directly with our Chief Executive you will help with taking minutes, writing them up, circulating notes and organising meetings. Event volunteering

  • We run lots of events throughout the year to raise funds for Challengers

    Our volunteers are essential to ensuring that they are a success!

    There are plenty of ways you can help us out, such as:

    – Helping to run stalls
    – Marshalling
    – Helping out with serving refreshments
    – Cheering on our Marathon and RideLondon teams
    – Assisting with collections

  • Current event volunteering opportunities

    Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge | Loseley Park, Guildford | Sunday 14th October

    We are looking for volunteers to help us at the Kelly’s Cross Country Challenge! We have a variety of roles for volunteers on the day, including:

    – Helping to run stalls at the event HQ
    – Course marshalling

    Christmas present wrapping | The Friary Centre, Guildford | 17th-22nd December

    We are looking for volunteers to wrap Christmas presents in return for donations to Challengers. We’ll be at The Friary all week and any time you can spare during that time would be greatly appreciated.
