What's going on
Well done to our Surrey Half Marathon runners!
The Community Fundraising Team had a great time on Sunday 11th March cheering on our 6 #TeamOrange runners as they conquered the iconic Surrey Half Marathon. Artur, James, Miles, Kat, Sara and Heidi all looked fabulous in their orange running vests and completed the 13.1 route with smiles on their faces.
The sun was shining and spirits were high, every runner had a huge smile on their face when they reached our first cheer station at Mile 4. Local residents were out in force to encourage the runners, and so #TeamOrange were all still in high spirits when they passed us again at Mile 8.
Here are some lovely messages that we received from some of our runners in the days after the event:

I would like to say thank you to all of you. It was huge pleasure and honour for me to run with Challangers Team.
I have heard many times from other runners and fans:
‘Thank you for running for Challengers’,
– Wow you are doing an amazing job, thank you’,
‘Challengers, well done’ etc.
It was absolutely lovely time for me, and I believe that all these thanks from yesterday should go to you.

The route is well mapped, plenty of water stations which was welcomed!
The marshals and local people out on the course are fantastic – the cheering all the way round really helps push you through the tricky bits.
The support for Challengers was fantastic. On the way round people were cheering and recognising my orange vest. I chatted to other runners on route – everyone knew someone that used Challengers.
Really friendly course.
Once again, a big congratulations to all of our fantastic runners!
