Wood Street Village Jazz Festival 2020

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Wood Street Village Jazz Festival on Sunday 23rd August!

Our socially-distanced festival, organised with Guildford Jazz, featured fantastic music from The Nicolas Meier Quartet, followed by some classic hits from movie soundtracks performed by Jazz At The Movies featuring Joanna Eden.

We are pleased to say that this event raised just under £6,000 for Challengers! Particularly in such a difficult year, this money will make an enormous difference and help us continue our vital services for disabled children and young people.

Thank you to Marianne & David from Guildford Jazz, and our sponsors Surrey County Council, Ryde’s Hill School, and the University of Surrey for making the day possible.

“Not long ago, we were unsure we’d be able to make this day happen…so thank you so much to everyone who came and made it such a special day! The event sold out and was a great success, we are looking forward to next year’s festival!”Emily Blackley, Challengers Community Fundraising Officer.

“Thank you for a splendid afternoon and for raising such an amazing amount for Challengers! It was thoroughly enjoyable and, as always, Marianne pulled out all the stops to make it such a great event. Roll on the next one!”Jazz Festival Attendee.
