Fantastic fundraiser at Loseley Park

Saturday 19th November saw a group of guests put on their finest and head to the magnificent Loseley Park for a black tie dinner in the Great Hall of the 16th century house nestled in the Surrey countryside.

Guests were welcomed in to the drawing room for a glass of fizz before sitting down to dinner for a sumptuous 3 course meal prepared by Caper & Berry. Heads & Tails, a firm favourite at events like these, caused laughter and delight, but as ever there can only be one winner to take home the prize!

The room was alive with talk amongst friends and support of Challlengers. After dinner, Adger Brown, a leading comedian in the south east, took to the floor and put on an excellent show. His set finished with an exciting live auction of 3 high quality prizes – a four ball at St Georges Golf Course, a stay in a lucky villa in France and a private dinner party cooked in your own home. There was a tense battle for all prizes but the winners of these went away very happy.

All evenings must come to an end and this one went out with a bang with some stiff competition in the silent auction – it went down to the nail with people being outbid at every turn! Overall the evening was a huge success and has raised just over £14,000 for Challengers which is just exceptional.

Challengers would not have been able to raise such a huge sum of money without the support of the sponsors of this event, ramsac IT. Dan May, the Commercial Director, said: “ramsac love working with our friends at Challengers. It’s an honour to be able to support this event, and help the team to raise a bit more money to support the amazing work they do in support young people and their families. We’re proud to be a Surrey business and to do our small part to support this very local, very active group of superheroes.”

Laura Sercombe, Challengers CEO was blown away with the support on the night and said: “We cannot thank people enough for their support – from guests on the evening, our wonderful patron Michael More-Molyneux hosting the event and ramsac for their generous sponsorship. The money from this event will enable an amazing 700 hours of play at Challengers which is countless smiles!”
