A turbo-charged day out!
What a success our annual Motoring Event was!
On Sunday 12th June 2022 we welcomed our guests to Challengers 8th annual Motoring Event. Thank you to everyone that joined us for this special day, it was lovely to see so many returning guests as well as many new faces!
We started our day at Frank Dale & Stepsons (GU15 3BN), where guests participating in the drive had the pleasure of touring the workshop while enjoying light refreshments.
Frank Dale & Stepsons are the world’s oldest independent Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists. They offer the full range of services to their customers with sales, service and restoration departments all under one roof. Collectors and enthusiasts come from all over the world to view the company’s outstanding selection of rare and valuable motor cars and their maintenance and restoration facilities. We are so grateful for Frank Dale & Stepsons’ support, and can not thank them enough for letting us start our drive at such a wonderful venue before heading 70 miles around the Surrey Hills!
The end location was a private motor museum in Surrey which boasts a stunning collection of over 70 vehicles and endless motoring memorabilia, including a Lagonda V12 Le Mans, which is one of only two that competed at the 1939 Le Mans 24 Hours, and a Mercedes 300 SL which was featured in Classic Motor & Sports Car magazine. For everyone that didn’t have a car to join in the beautiful drive, our museum only guests met us at the private museum for a chance to delve into the collection. This was not an experience to be missed by any motoring aficionados!
With 70 different cars and an additional 71 museum guests who attended. We hope that you all enjoyed the atmosphere as much as we did! The day raised an incredible £15,000 for the disabled children and young people who attend Challengers. We are so grateful to everyone that supported us on the day. Thank you to Frank Dale & Stepsons for hosting the amazing start point and a BIG thank you to the hosts of the private collection – – as ever you made the day very special to all our guests!
