Challengers welcomes new Business Club President

Dan May Business Club President image

We are delighted to introduce you to Dan May, the new President of the Challengers Business Club.

Dan has been the Commercial Director at Surrey based IT company, ramsac, for the last 18 years. Ramsac provides a fully managed IT outsourcing service for small and medium sized firms, and Dan leads the team of Relationship Managers and Sales and Marketing functions.

He has taken over the reins from Derek Arden, who stepped down at the end of 2019 after 9 years of incredible support.

The Challengers Business Club is a dynamic group of locally based companies that are committed to supporting Challengers. Members can enjoy exclusive seminars with insights to key business areas, and high quality networking opportunities.

Dan has been involved with the Challengers Business Club for 6 years, with ramsac actively supporting numerous fundraising events for Challengers and raising several thousands of pounds each year.

Outside of work, Dan has a passion for Emergency Care and is the Chairman of St John Ambulance for Sussex. He runs an active team of volunteer Community First Responders for The South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust. He lives in Hove and is a father to two boys, and a lively Labrador!

Of his appointment Dan said, “I am thrilled to be taking on the reins of the Challengers Business Club. As a business leader I am passionate about building the Club into a network of like-minded business people that can perhaps help each other on our respective business journeys.

“As a parent of a child with special needs, I am absolutely in awe of the services that Challengers provides, and the lifeline that they give to the parents and families of the young people that attend Challengers each and every week. Providing young people with fun and constructive play, regardless of their needs, is truly amazing, but just as important is the chance to provide parents and carers with much needed support and respite.

“I think every business person who has been a parent could understand just how important it is that we get behind this great local charity and if we can do so in a way that also supports our business, it’s even better!”

Welcome to Team Orange, Dan!
