Play and Youth Scheme volunteering

  • Play or Youth Scheme Volunteer

    Become part of a dynamic and supportive team and gain a rewarding insight into supporting disabled children and young people. Find out more or apply online

    We are currently recruiting for Play and Youth Volunteers across our schemes to work with us.

    Our next recruitment events are as follows:

    Wednesday 28th June – Petersfield

  • Swim Club Volunteer

    Swim Club runs every Saturday evening during term time in Guildford. Find out more

  • Play or Youth Scheme Driver

    Help us with driving a minibus on scheme trips out and After School Club bus runs from schools to scheme. Find out more

  • Volunteer Activity Co-Ordinator

    Come to Challengers and help us run an activity for us 2/3 times a year – this could be anything from football to art to drumming workshops!

HQ volunteering

  • Volunteer Administrator

    Come to our offices and get involved with spreadsheets, finance, filing and data entry.

  • Volunteer Board Secretary

    Attend our board meetings twice a month and then once a week (at a time that suits you) to write up notes and prepare the trustee calendar. This would help our Chief Executive and Board members immensely. Find out more

    Whether you have skills in Finance, Marketing, Web Design, Recruitment, Fundraising or Events we would love to hear from you and discuss how you could help us!

Event volunteering

  • We run lots of events throughout the year to raise funds for Challengers

    Our volunteers are essential to ensuring that they are a success!

    There are plenty of ways you can help us out, such as:

    – Helping to run stalls
    – Marshalling
    – Helping out with serving refreshments
    – Cheering on our Marathon and RideLondon teams
    – Assisting with collections

  • Current event volunteering opportunities

    VantagePoint Farnham Wine Festival | Farnham Maltings | Friday 7th April – Saturday 8th April

    We are looking for volunteers to help out at the Farnham Wine Festival. The event features over 100 different wines over 4 bars and there will be music, entertainment and food stalls. Tasks will include helping out on the bar and to support the running of our blind wine tasting stall. All volunteers will get a meal voucher and a free t-shirt!

    We are looking for help on the following time slots:
    Friday 7th April 7pm-11pm
    Saturday 8th April 12pm-4pm
    Saturday 8th April 7pm-11pm

    Kelly’s Cycle Challenge | Alice Holt, Farnham | Sunday 14th May

    We are looking for volunteers to help us at the Kelly’s Cycle Challenge! We have a variety of roles for volunteers on the day, including:

    – Helping to run stalls at the event HQ
    – Support with car parking
    – Course marshalling
    – Serving refreshments at rest stops
