Machu Picchu Climb – Wednesday 20th September to Friday 29th September
This event is organised by Advocate Events.
Spectacular scenery, sub-tropical jungle and a mix of Inca ruins are your reward for your physical and mental endeavour.

Please be aware that it is extremely rare for timings to prove completely accurate on an event, so travel between mountains, hotels, and climb times are a rough guide only.
Day 1 – Wednesday 20th September 2017
Fly from London to Lima Peru
Day 2 – Thursday 21st September 2017
A day at your leisure to absorb this magnificent South American capital city which is spectacularly located between the Pacific Ocean and The Andes mountains.
Day 3 – Friday 22nd September 2017
Fly Peru to Cuzco. There are then two days to acclimatize in this magnificent UNESCO World heritage city, situated a staggering 3,400 metres above sea level.
Day 4 – Saturday 23rd September 2017
Day in Cuzco to acclimatise.
Day 5 – Sunday 24th September 2017
6am – Pick up from our hotel – drive for 3 hours to “Kilometre 82” Ayapata.
10am – Start our hike!
1pm – Lunch
4pm – Arrive at our first camp Ayapeta 3300 metres above sea level.
Day 6 – Monday 25th September 2017
8am – Start hike – tough day ahead!
1pm – Arrive “Dead Womans Pass” at 4215 metres, followed by lunch
5pm – Arrive at our camp for the night “Chaquicocha” at 3630 metres
Day 7 – Tuesday 26th September 2017
Longest distance today – 10 miles!
8am – Start hike
11am – Arrive First pass “Runkuracay” at 3941m
1pm – Descend to Sayaqmarka for lunch
5pm – Arrive at final camp – Wiñaywayna
Day 8 – Wednesday 27th September 2017
5:30am – Wait for Control Office to open
6am – Start hike to Machu Picchu
8am – First view of Mach Picchu below us at Inti Punku
9am – Arrive Machu Picchu three hours “learning tour”
12pm – Time on site at your leisure
1pm – Onward travel by coach and train back to Cuzco
6pm – Celebration evening at the hotel!
Day 9 – Thursday 28th September 2017
10am – Fly back to London via Lima
Day 10 – Friday 29th September 2017
Arrive back in London – time to be confirmed
